Project 2 extends network modeling and analyses to the multicellular level in yeast.  Since, in living systems, the different scales of organization are coupled (e.g., molecular networks govern cellular states and behaviors, which in turn determine multicellular structures and characteristics), a suitable multiscale modeling framework that incorporates this coupling is needed in order to predict the effects of molecular level perturbations on cellular and multicellular behaviors.
